I've been wanting to try a liquid foundation lately, and I've read some reviews on good foundation. I heard about Make Up For Ever HD Foundation online and I found out that if you call up Make Up For Ever you can get some free samples. (Sorry, can't find the number right now, I'll post it later.) I chose HD120 and HD125. They came in small sample jars and they were pretty full, probably good for about two applications.
Luckily, the HD120 matched my skin tone. First I applied it using my fingers, major mistake! It was way too heavy. Then I tried applying it using a foundation brush and that was an improvement. This stuff does cover well, I mean it is "HD Foundation". If you apply a little too much it can definetely be too masky. And you really need blush with this or else you'll look kind of dead.
My skin did look pretty nice and it blended well, and even under harsh lighting it wasn't obvious that I had foundation on. My skin just looked really even.
One drawback is that if you don't wear a primer under this stuff, your pores look pretty large.
Overall, I found that it was a really nice foundation and has good coverage. I don't know if I'm willing to pay $40 for this stuff when there could be a cheaper dupe out there. I heard Revlon Colorstay Foundation is pretty good, if anyone has tried it let me know.
This is just my opinion of the HD Foundation.
This stuff might work differently for varying skin types and with different make up brushes.
Thanks for reading,
